Bible Triplets

Why Bible triplets?

As we hear God speak to us together in his Scriptures, we come to know the gospel better, we are encouraged to live the gospel well, and we are trained to speak the gospel to others. But more than that, when you read the Bible with other people, you make great friends and support one another to follow Jesus at uni and beyond.

Who Should do a Bible triplet?

Everyone! If you’re interested in exploring Christianity or faith, triplets are a great way to meet Jesus for the first time. If you’re keen to grow as a Christian, triplets will encourage and spur you on. If you want to help train and grow younger Christians, then reading the Bible and praying with them in a triplet is a great way to disciple the next generation!

How Can I Get a Bible Triplet Going?

Very easily! All you need to do is ask someone to read the Bible with you. You might say something like “I’ve been interested to find out more about Jesus in this biography. Would you like to read it together once a week to find out why so many people think Jesus is worth listening to?” Or, you might say something like “I loved my Bible Triplet last year, and I reckon you’d love it too. Want to do one with me this year?” Or, you might say something like “I love talking about life and religion with you, but you’ve got more questions than I have answers. How about we just sit down once a week and read this biography of Jesus together?” So many possibilities!

5 Top Tips to Make Your Bible Triplet Great!

  1. Set a weekly reminder on your phone so you don’t forget (and you might even text the others to remind them when and where you’re meeting)!
  2. Meet for one hour only! That’s plenty of time to read, discuss, and pray for one another!
  3. Read the book of Mark to meet Jesus, or a NT letter like Colossians that covers the basics of Christian life and doctrine.
  4. You don’t need to know any answers or do any prep. Just use the 5 R’s or the COMMAS questions to guide your discussion!
  5. Make use of the staff team! They’d love to help you get set up, navigate any tricky decisions, or give you ideas for ways you can all grow togehter!
